The Multi Pass scheme is the one-stop pass for all family activities in Morzine and across the Portes du Soleil. It offers amazing value to summer holidaymakers – it’s especially brilliant for families.
For only €3 per day, you get free access to ski lifts for hikers, the swimming pools and lakes, tennis courts, the ice rink, mini-golf, and loads more. Plus, under 5's go free!
The pass is only available through participating accommodation providers, and we are one of them.

From relaxing to full on adrenaline there is something for everyone, every ability and every age in Morzine. Our recommended activities are: summer luge / toboggan, tree top / forest adventure, canyoning, white water rafting / hydrospeeding, paragliding & the fantasticable zip wire...
The Morzine summer luge winds it's way down the left hand side of the Pleney. Take the La Crusaz chairlift up with your sledge and make your way down the track...
There are two trails of different lengths and difficulty levels.
Children must be a minimum of 3 years old and those under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets can be bought from the Pleney lift pass office.
Morzine's adventure parks are designed for children and adults to play, explore, exercise and have fun in the natural mountain surroundings. The ropes, swings, tunnels, trees and activities will be a great day for children and adults alike.
Qualified guides will be around the course throughout to make sure you are safe and having as much fun as possible.

A not-so-gentle but extremely refreshing summer activity is one way to describe canyoning! Plunge yourself into the mountain streams via a series of abseil descents, jumps and natural water slides – just make sure you choose a warm day!
You will make your way along rivers and rapids, using the river bed as a natural obstacle course. With the safety of a guide everyone can abseil down cascades, splash into pools and ride the river rapids...
Located at the Nyon waterfall.
If you haven't experienced white water sports before then this is a definite 'must try' on your list of activities to do! From the middle of May until September, the Dranse river flows furiously as it is fed from the melt waters running off the glaciers high above the town.
There are various options available from a three-hour adrenaline rush to a full days excursion - this activity is guaranteed not to disappoint!
Located a 30 minutes drive from Morzine on the Dranse & Giffre rivers.
Morzine is a great place to discover what its like to soar like an eagle! Known as “parapenting” in France & Switzerland, you'll enjoy a magical and unforgettable moment with the most amazing views of the mountains and valleys below. Top tip: go on a sunny, warm day when the thermals will keep your airborne for longer.
Flights start from the top of the Super Morzine lift and descend down to the Pleney with transport provided.

The Fantasticable in the Portes du Soleil is the only one of its kind in the Alps and covers over three kilometres in two stages and reaches speeds of up to 100km/h. Located a the top of the Chaux Fleurie chairlift in the Lindarets area of Avoriaz.
Rock climbing, via ferrata and hiking are popular but you can choose to fish, canoe, swim or just chill by lake Montriond, enjoy the swimming pool complex of Morzine or the Aquariaz water park of Avoriaz.

Morzine and the resorts of the Portes du Soleil are considered to offer some of the best mountain biking terrain in Europe.
Here you'll find downhill trails, free-ride and cross-country riding — offering something for every ability of rider. Not to mention Europe's largest MTB Park. And with lift-assisted riding you'll be able to venture further afield than you ever imagined.
The lifts are open from mid-June to early-September.

The Portes du Soleil is a stunning area to explore on foot, whether you're an experienced hiker or looking for more of a gentle stroll.
The telecabines and chairlifts are open to hikers, so you'll be able to venture further than you thought! Fancy a quick day trip to Switzerland? No problem.
Obviously you'll need to be sensible with your choice of clothing and shoes. Plan your route in advance, take a map and keep an eye on the weather, which can be very changeable in the mountains.

Keep up to date with which lifts and trails are open, local weather, plan your daily hiking route and check how fast you've been walking with the Portes Du Soleil app. You'll never again have to rummage around in your pocket for a paper trail map!

Local events...
There are many free events during the summer season, some being weekly and some being just for one day. Events range from Monday welcome drinks at the tourist office, children's workshops to the European Harley Davidson festival!
Morzine's professional Ice Hockey Team - The Morzine Penguins are one of the top Ice Hockey teams in France having won numerous league titles & cups. They are fabulous to watch and feature a lot of home grown & international players. You can see them play at the Palais du Sport every week.
Match days & times vary - tickets can be bought at the Tourist Office.
Weekly Village Market - Visit the Morzine traditional market to buy the the best local produce: meat, fish, fruit & veg, cheese, charcuterie etc.

Discover Morzine from a different perspective with a visit to the old town, during which you will be exposed to the development of the village over the centuries (information from the Tourist Office).
Follow the fascinating tour of the slate-making workshop, Ardoisière des 7 Pieds, to learn about the two-century history of Morzine slate mining.
In the same valley, we strongly recommend that you stop at the Chèvrerie des ardoisières to visit the goats and their 'keepers', the imposing yaks, and to watch the milking at the stable at the end of the day.
Cheese lovers can also take part in a visit to a traditional village fruit farm, the Fruitière de l'Alpage, to learn about the stages of cheese making and discover the maturing cellars.
Relax on the majestic Lake Geneva...
Take a day trip to the beautiful walled Medieval village of Yvoire or visit the world famous Evian (where the water comes from!).
There are plenty of grassed beaches and local restaurants (we specially recommend to go to the beaches of Anthy-Sur-Léman, Corzent, or Thonon’s swimming pool). If you are looking for a white sand beach take a look at Excenevex.
If you fancy some water sports - wake-boarding, water-skiing, paddle boarding and diving are all on offer.
Chamonix is perhaps best known for the world famous Mont-Blanc, Europe's highest mountain.
It however offers far more... boutique shopping, secluded mountain walks, mountain train rides, glacier visits and the Aiguille du midi téléphérique which takes you to the peaks of the surrounding mountain range at 3,842 meters - the panoramic views will make your heart skip a beat!
Another option for a day is Annecy with its beautiful old town and lake, one of the purest in Europe. You can hire a bike and cycle around the lake stopping for lunch in one of the many lake side restaurants.
We can highly recommend hiring a boat for a couple of hours and circumnavigating the lake, the views are amazing!
Hungry in the mountains?
L'passage is our lovely family restaurant located on the slopes of Super Morzine. Run by Charlotte's cousin, Pascaline offers superb home made dishes with the most amazing view of the valley and Mont Blanc on the sunny terrace.
It is located at the top of Super Morzine telecabine on the Tetras piste/MTB trail (Turn left and walk around the corner and you will see Bar/Restaurant L’Passage). Be sure to order the "maxi burger" - the best burger in Morzine!
A typical old mountain chalet hidden off the beaten track. You'll receive a warm welcome from Sylvie who offers local specialties from our mountains.
About fifteen minutes from the Lac des Mine d´or, you will find the Fréterolles pasture where you can taste the cheeses of this working farm and the homemade charcuterie. Fréterolles is also typical mountain restaurant offering a variety of local dishes.
Located at the top of Pleney (access by cable car), on the edge of Les Gets golf course, the Gravier family will welcome you in a cozy chalet with a large sunny terrace with a beautiful view of Mont-Blanc.
A charming chalet nestled on the slopes of Pleney (access by car from the Nants), a warm welcome and typical dishes will await you.

Just above the Nyon waterfall and at the start of the “Cascade Aventure”, in a typical chalet, you can taste good local dishes.

On the shores of Lake Nyon-Guérin, a 30-minute walk from the Nyon plateau (access via the cable car or the road), in a pretty stone chalet, the Refuge will offer you regional dishes and in particular the trout from the lake.

If you are planning a walk in the Lindarets sector or a Fantasticable descent, do not hesitate to stop by the Auberge de la Haute Bise for lunch where the view of Lake Montriond is splendid.

Getting around the resort
There are regular free shuttle bus services that run around Morzine town for you to take advantage of.
